General Manager, Ngāti Ruanui Tahua Limited

• Position based in Hāwera/South Taranaki.

Ngāti Ruanui Tahua Limited (Tahua) is a solely owned subsidiary of Te Runanga o Ngāti Ruanui Trust. The Tahua is a company based in South Taranaki undertaking the following functions:

• Two General Practice sites, Hāwera and Patea with 10,000 registered patients (PHO Midlands Health) including comprehensive care services

• Outreach clinical & Alcohol and Drug Early Intervention services

• Tamariki Ora & B4 School service (first 2000 days services)

• Youth and School Based health services

• Whānau Ora services

• Health Coach services

• Smoking cessation suicide prevention roles

• Iwi Social Services

• Two early Childhood centres comprising of 70 tamariki.

The functions above are delivered through a range of contracted services through the regional alliance Te Kawau Mārō and direct contracts with Te Whatu Ora, Te Aka Whai Ora, MSD, Oranga Tamariki and Corrections.
 
Mō tēnei tūranga ma’i | About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Oversight Manager and the Board of Directors, the General Manager will demonstrate alignment with the cultural values of the iwi and lead and manage the organisations operational team to achieve success with projects and delivery of key strategic plans.

A respected leader across te ao Māori, you will be able influence the environment in which Ngāti Ruanui Tahua operates; providing strategic direction and leadership to whānau, hapū and iwi to continue the financial sustainability of the organisation for the people and the whenua.
 
Ngā pūkenga me ngā w’eako | Skills and Experience

You will be a hands-on leader who has a strong reputation for building and establishing teams. You will be able to demonstrate experience in effective strategic and operational leadership, be confident in setting key performance measures, and capable of securing quality health and education service delivery within prescribed budgets.

Your financial proficiency will facilitate alignment between competing service targets and the Board’s strategic objectives. You will understand the health sector, the roles of respective stakeholders, and how these can be harnessed to enhance wellbeing.

Your ability to maintain positive and mutually rewarding relationships with whānau and stakeholders will see you thrive, and your communication and cultural competence will be a strength and include comfort in te reo Māori me ōna tikanga.
